Sitting Tilda With Butterfly

mp061513a

Happy Saturday!   I want to share my DT post that I created for our  MarkerPOP Blog today.  It's Saturday so that means...  "Anything but a card" theme for today!

I am dedicating this post to all you book lover's out there.   I know I always ike to stop my reading at a very suspenseful part.    It keeps me on the edge of my chair until I can get back and turn a few more pages!    Well.....   a bookmark (unless you are on an electronic reader) is just what we need to keep that special spot ready for us when we are ready to pick up our book again.    And speaking of books, what kind do you like?   For me it is mysteries - especially the subgenre of psychological thrillers!

I created this bookmark using this adorable stamp called "Sitting Tilda with Butterfly" (Magnolia)   I just love coloring her cury little hair and I love the opportunity to work on ethnic skin tones.
The image was stamped on Cryogen (Curious Metallic) paper with Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink (Tsukineko).   The image was colored with Copic Markers and sponged with Memento Teal Zeal (Tsukineko).

Copics used:
Skin Tone:  E0000, E3-, E21, E13
Hair:  C3, C5, C7, C9
Dress and Bow:  G67, G43, G40
Wood:  E49, E35, E47, E18
Butterfly: C3, C5, C7, C9, YR18, YR14, YR00, YR000, G43
Background:  BG0000, BG000, BG00, BG10, YR000, G40, Colorless Blender, Blue Miltiliner, Orange Multiliner

I hope you enjoyed this and will  give it a try.  This little cutie is such a fun image to color.    I plan to use this stamp  for gift tags as well!

I am linking this card to  the following wonderful challenges.

Thank you for stopping by and have a fantastic, funfilled rest of your weekend!

  2. Marie, this is so very lovely. I love the unusual shape and the great sponging. The delicate tassel is also a nice finishing touch.
